Type | Medium Armor Set |
- For the Dark Souls variant, see Xanthous Set.
- For the Dark Souls III variant, see Xanthous Set (Dark Souls III).
The Xanthous Set is a medium armor set in Dark Souls II.
Availability[]
Available after reaching rank 3 in the Pilgrims of Dark covenant. It requires defeating the Darklurker and speaking to Darkdiver Grandahl upon completion.
Characteristics[]
Despite being a reward for what is ultimately a somewhat arduous task, this set is mediocre. It is very weak compared with other armor sets in the same weight category and provides little to no advantage.
The fully upgraded headpiece, however, provides the same resistance to Curse, as the Ring of Resistance. This makes it a very attractive choice for players who want to boost this stat, which can be useful during the fight with Nashandra or exploration beyond the third bonfire in the Shaded Woods.
Overall, this set is mostly for people focusing more on appearance rather than utility, matching well with the Yellow Quartz Longword and the Yellow Quartz Shield.
Set Pieces[]
- Xanthous Crown (Dark Souls II)
- Xanthous Overcoat (Dark Souls II)
- Xanthous Gloves (Dark Souls II)
- Xanthous Waistcloth (Dark Souls II)
