- For the Dark Souls III variant, see Xanthous Crown (Dark Souls III).
The Xanthous Crown is a head armor piece in Dark Souls. It is part of the Xanthous Set.
In-Game Description
- A mysterious item once worn by the Xanthous King Jeremiah, the legendary exile. No one knows where it came from.
- The crown bears high-quality cloth which is quite soft to the touch, but its bright yellow color stings the eyes, and it is clearly far too big.
Availability[]
Found on a corpse behind Crossbreed Priscilla whether or not the player attacks her. The player must have killed the black phantom Xanthous King, Jeremiah. The corpse may not spawn immediately after his defeat; quitting and reloading the game should cause it to appear.
Characteristics[]
The Xanthous Crown offers the best Curse Resist and Strike Defense of any headpiece, but is extremely heavy for being part of a light armor set granting no Poise and very little Fire Defense.
Upgrades[]
Requires 200 souls per upgrade.

Notes[]
- One Xanthous Crown per playthrough can be traded to Snuggly the Crow for a Ring of Favor and Protection. This is one of only two ways the player may obtain this ring.
- Despite its large size, the Xanthous Crown does not impede movement through tight spaces in any way.
- This item is a reference to the Monk's Head Collar from Demon's Souls.
