The Winged Knight Halberd is a halberd in Dark Souls III.

In-Game Description

Halberd wielded by the Winged Knights, who swore themselves to the Angels.

The thick, heavy, bloodstained blade can only be swung by one with inhuman strength.

Skill: Chain Spin
Sweep foes in a large spinning motion and use strong attack to continue the motion until stamina is exhausted.

Availability

• Dropped by the Winged Knights who wield them in the High Wall of Lothric and Lothric Castle.
• Dropped by the two Gertrude's Knights who wield them in the Grand Archives.

Characteristics

The Winged Knight Halberd is a Strength-oriented halberd whose moveset is composed entirely of wide swinging attacks. It requires copious amounts of Strength in order to wield effectively, and scales primarily with that stat. Its high base damage makes it particularly strong with non-scaling infusions, but it works best when infused with a Heavy Gem.

Like all other halberds, it deals the most damage when it hits enemies with the blade rather than the shaft. However, it also lacks the thrust attacks that the standard Halberd possesses, limiting its effectiveness against enemies weak to Thrust damage and in combat in narrow corridors.
