White Dragon Breath (白竜の息) is a soul-transposed sorcery in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- Sorcery of the deluded Consumed King Oceiros.
- Emits crystal breath of Seath the Scaleless.
Crystal breath has piercing qualities.
- Seath's research seemed to strike a chord with old Big Hat who, in his mad, disrobed state, made divine works such as this, his own. Oceiros was no doubt edified by this.
Availability[]
Obtained by transposing the Soul of Consumed Oceiros with Ludleth of Courland for 10,000 souls.
Effect[]
The caster charges and then fires a beam from their staff, forming a vertical line of crystals on the ground in front. Anything standing in the path of the beam as the crystals form will take Magic damage equal to 2.65 times the Spell Buff of the caster's catalyst.

Single player[]
Because it is a close-ranged spell, care must be taken when casting this spell, as enemies may be able to close in and interrupt it during the casting time. However, like Soul Spear-type spells, it is capable of hitting multiple targets in a line, meaning that it can be useful against crowds of enemies at close range. As well, it costs less FP than a Soul Spear, a trade-off for its short range.
Online gameplay[]
The caster holds the staff high when casting White Dragon Breath, giving it the same animation as casting a Soul Arrow- or Soul Spear-type spell. This makes it useful as a mix-up against foes that are expecting a projectile as opposed to a close-ranged beam. As well, unlike the projectile spells, the ground effect nature of the spell allows it to be free-aimed, meaning that the caster can predict a foe's movements and alter aim to compensate.

- It is said that Big Hat once resonated with the White Dragon and, at the end of his naked research, made the work of that god his own. Oceiros must have know of this and that's how he gained enlightment.
