The Watcher Greatsword is a greatsword in Dark Souls II.

Availability[]
The Watcher Greatsword can be acquired from Weaponsmith Ornifex by trading 3,000 souls and the Throne Watcher Soul.
Characteristics[]
Similar to the Defender Greatsword, the Watcher Greatsword's special attack is a unique weapon buff, which is triggered by wielding it in both hands and pressing the Parry button. Rather than a lightning buff, however, the Watcher Greatsword can buff itself with magic.
This buff costs 10 durability each time, meaning it can be used up to five times until breaking. However, the use of the Bracing Knuckle Ring variants reduces the cost of the buff (depending on the level of the ring used), allowing the buff to be used more before breaking the weapon.
In addition to the buff adding magic damage, its fairly low physical stat requirements make it a practical choice for characters with high Intelligence. This, along with its lower weight, stat requirements, faster swing speed, and overall superior scaling makes it a much better choice than the Moonlight Greatsword for high Intelligence builds.

- Can only be enchanted by its own enchantment ability.
- Its best infusion is Magic, as it increases its magic damage. However, it receives no scaling bonus for Intelligence.
