Drift Items, also known as Vagrants, are an enemy type in Dark Souls.
Locations[]
Drift Items appear in most areas of the game. However, they are exclusive to Online Mode, and are only found in very specific locations within an area. The evil Drift Item appears where other players have recently lost a large amount of Humanity, while good ones spawn when other players drop certain items in their own world.
Enemy information[]
Evil Drift Items have crab-like pincers and a dark, cloudy ball attached to them. They will stay and attack the player with a weak melee attack. However, they also possess a deadly projectile that can sometimes kill players in one hit.
Good Drift Items look like a spherical egg with legs, and will flee from the player on sight and disappear if not damaged in time, similar to Crystal Lizards.
Both variations are relatively easy to kill, the only obstacles being the disappearance of the good Drift Items and the projectile attack of the evil ones.

Drops[]
Drift Items are unique in that the two different versions drop different items. "Evil" Drift Items will drop Humanity, while their "red phantom" variant will drop Twin Humanities. "Good" Drift Items on the other will drop any one of the below items completely at random.
