Undead Clerics are enemies in Dark Souls III: The Ringed City.
Description[]
Hollowed clerics encountered throughout the Ringed City. They wield wooden stakes as weapons, which can also be used to channel lighting bolts. Despite their short stature, they are aggressive opponents that can perform a powerful grapple attack.
Some clerics have dark crystals growing from their bodies which inflict rapid Curse build-up. The crystals disappear when killed.

Strategy[]
Undead Clerics have low health and are relatively straightforward enemies when faced individually. However, they often appear in packs or alongside stronger opponents, and can be much more dangerous if they mob the player. They will also hang from ledges or play dead in an attempt to ambush the player.
They attack rapidly with their stakes and will often leap backward to avoid counterattacks or shove the player as a defensive maneuver. Their grab attack is preceded by a scream where they will leap above the player and try to tackle them to the ground, stabbing them several times if they succeed. This grab attack is usually performed if they see the player holding up a shield. They may also cast Lightning Spear or Lightning Stake depending on the situation, and will possess Hyper Armor when casting Lightning Stake.
The crystallized variant will not attempt to attack the player, but rather will slowly approach them. They emit a constant Curse aura, which can quickly petrify a player if left alone, and even if quickly dispatched can still cause considerable buildup, allowing another crystallized Undead Cleric to finish the job.
