The Storm Curved Sword (嵐の曲剣 Arashi no Kyokuken, Curved Sword of the Storm) is a soul-transposed curved sword in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- Curved sword imbued with the strength of the Stormdrake.
- The Nameless King, ally of the ancient dragons, fought beside the Stormdrake in countless battles. When the great beast fell, the king claimed his soul, as was the custom in the age of the gods.
- Skill: Tornado
Imbue blade with the wrath of storm in a spinning motion, and follow with a strong attack to bear that wrath upon foes.
Availability[]
Obtained by transposing the Soul of the Nameless King with Ludleth of Courland at a cost of 5,000 souls.
Characteristics[]
The Storm Curved Sword is a weighty blade, firmly classifying as a heavy curved sword with the Falchion moveset and sharing many characteristics with the Carthus Curved Sword.
It is notable for having the longest reach of all the heavy curved swords, allowing it to more easily outspace opponents, though it also consumes more stamina than most other heavy curved swords. Because it is a soul-transposed weapon, it cannot take advantage of infusions and is thus a quality weapon that does not benefit from very high levels of Dexterity. Unfortunately, it also has trouble inflicting threatening amounts of damage, due to possessing only moderate scaling.
Its skill is a variant of the Falchion Spin Slash, and is capable of knocking down foes should it connect.
