The Stone Greatsword is a greatsword in Dark Souls.
In-Game Description
- The Stone Knights who guard the Darkroot Garden wield this moss-covered greatsword.
- The same magic which created the Stone Knights is imbued in the sword. Unleash this power by wielding the sword with two hands.
Availability[]
- 2% drop from Stone Knights in Darkroot Garden
- Sold by Shiva of the East for 15,000 souls.
Characteristics[]
The two-handed strong attack as an effect very similar to Tranquil Walk of Peace. Unlike Tranquil Walk of Peace, the Stone Greatsword's strong attack cannot be prevented with the Vow of Silence. Use of this ability drains 200 durability.
The Stone Greatsword inflicts magical damage as well as physical damage. Its massive weight, inability to be Enchanted, and "Quality" scaling despite its high Strength requirement, make it more of a curiosity than an efficient weapon for typical players.
Scaling Percentages[]
- Strength - 60%
- Dexterity - 55%
- Intelligence - 15%
- Faith - 0%

Notes[]
- The two handed heavy attack works on the boss Dragonslayer Ornstein and Executioner Smough, yet only the visual effect is shown, they aren't slowed down by any degree. Some enemies have the same trait as that boss.
- When Tumblebuffing the Stone Greatsword, the two handed heavy attack will deal high amounts of damage at intervals of approximately one second to anything within the radius.
Trivia[]
- When the Stone Knights use this weapon, it does not do Magic damage like it does when the player uses it.
