Steady Chant is a skill in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- Boost the strength of sorceries for a very short period.
Description[]
The player raises the catalyst, charging it with power. All offensive Sorceries cast for the next 15 seconds will inflict an additional 10% damage. In the case of the Sage's Crystal Staff, power is boosted by 30% instead.
Usage[]
Single Player[]
This skill is extremely helpful in situations where the wielder can set the terms of combat. By taking a few seconds before combat to buff, a calculating sorcerer can make their Soul Arrows hit for increased damage, allowing them to dispatch powerful enemies more easily.
Online Gameplay[]
Judicious use of this skill can offer an edge in invasions, especially as a min-maxed caster. While laying down a sustained barrage against an intelligent opponent who is not otherwise distracted can be a waste of FP, buffing up the catalyst right before an ambush can make the first strike all the more impactful, moreso if the target has not dutifully leveled up Vigor. Looking for opportunities to strike, and getting the buff ready beforehand, can make a major difference in the amount of damage inflicted.
