Spin Slash is a skill in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- Spin to stoke a fierce chaos flame, and use momentum to transition into a spinning strong attack, creating an short-lived lava pool.
Description[]
The wielder begins with a two-handed clockwise spin with the weapon. Inputting a strong attack during or shortly after the spin will transition into a leap that rotates the wielder onto their side, bringing the weapon spinning downward onto enemies to the front. A pool of lava will be left at the impact point, lingering and dealing additional damage.
Usage[]
Single Player[]
Like the Spin Slash used by light curved swords, this skill is useful for bringing powerful focused damage down on a single target. In the case of the Demon's Scar though, the lava pool left by the strong attack can deal even more damage should the enemy linger in it.
Online[]
This skill is distinguished from the Scimitar's Spin Slash in that the lava pool can be exploited as a stage hazard, forcing the enemy player to avoid it lest they take additional damage. This can be useful for making space, or by baiting the enemy into rolling through it into a Pyromancy like Black Flame.
