- For the covenant item, see Spears of the Church (item).
The Spears of the Church is a covenant in Dark Souls III. It is introduced in The Ringed City DLC.
In-Game Description
- The Spears of the Church watch over the Princess' slumber, and when the church is compromised by a trespasser, the Judicator summons them as loyal spirits to eliminate the threat.
- Loyal spirits summoned as Spears of the Church are granted a blessing of protection.[1]
Requirements[]
The player must have defeated Darkeater Midir and acquired the Spears of the Church covenant item.
How to join[]
The player must simply equip the Spears of the Church covenant item.
Benefits[]
While a Spear of the Church, the player can be automatically summoned to another player's world to be a boss. While summoned as a boss, the player will be able to use the Ritual Spear Fragment and the Divine Spear Fragment.
Unlike other covenants, a Spear of the Church may be summoned in to combat a lone player who is not a Host of Embers, making this covenant the only one with such a mechanic in Dark Souls III.
Rank | Filianore's Spear Ornaments offered | Rewards |
---|---|---|
+0 | - | Nothing |
+1 | 10 | Young Grass Dew |
+2 | 30 | Divine Spear Fragment |
Notes[]
- All covenant items will only affect the player when they have invaded a host's world as a Spear.
- All PvP activity within the Ringed City can be commandeered by Judicator Argo to summon a Spear for a host. This includes the Red Eye Orb and even White Sign Soapstone.
