The Soul of a Great Hero is a consumable soul item in Dark Souls.

- Great soul of a hero of legend who has long ago gone Hollow.
- Use to acquire an incredible amount of souls.
- Souls are the source of all life, and whether Undead, or even Hollow, one continues to seek them.
Availability[]
- One can be found where the player initially encounters Seath the Scaleless, on a platform above the grotto where Seath used to be.
- One can be found in Lost Izalith, in the lava area.
General information[]
Soul items are not lost upon death, so it is useful to keep some in case players lose their bloodstain but need some souls for leveling up or repairs. Souls of Great Heroes can be consumed for 20,000 souls, making them the most potent soul items beside boss souls. They can also be fed to Kingseeker Frampt, but as this grants less souls than simply consuming them, there is no good purpose for doing so.
