The Sellsword Set is a medium armor set in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- Metal armor interwoven with coarse cloth. Able to endure the hardships of battle and prolonged travel.
- It is light considering the build, striking a fine balance between absorption and substance.
Availability[]
- Starting equipment for the Mercenary class.
- Found within Crucifixion Woods. On the far side of the swamp to the right, past two Lycanthropes, it is found on a corpse down a flight of stairs guarded by a Black Knight.
Characteristics[]
Overall, the Sellsword Set is a balanced armor set. While it does not shine in any aspect, it is relatively lightweight and offers reliable defenses and poise, along with decent resistances.
Much like the Fallen Knight Set, it is notable for being more resilient against Strike attacks but weak to slash attacks, which is typically the opposite when it comes to metallic armor. However, unlike the aforementioned armor set, the openly-exposed breastplate hampers its Lightning absorption.
The Sellsword Set is notable for having a respectably high poise-to-weight ratio for a set of its weight class. While the raw amount of Poise provided by each individual piece is somewhat low, they can be used to complement heavier armor pieces to reach a target amount of Poise while saving weight.
