The Scholar's Candlestick is a dagger in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- A candlestick covered in ivory scales once used by the Scholars of the Great Archives.
- This served as their guiding light, as well as a tool of self-restrain. Even today, wielders of this weapon benefit from the resulting sorcery-strengthening properties.
- Weapon Skill: Guiding Light
The candle provides a temporary source of light which reveals additional guidance.

- Sold by Greirat of the Undead Settlement for 3,500 souls once he returns from pillaging Irithyll of the Boreal Valley.
- Sold by the Shrine Handmaid for the same price once she is given Greirat's Ashes, provided that he has at least survived pillaging the Undead Settlement.

Characteristics[]
This weapon offers unimpressive physical damage and has a high Faith requirement to wield despite not scaling with that stat; as such, it is generally considered a very poor weapon regardless of circumstances.
However, its main characteristic is that while wielded it increases the damage dealt by any offensive Sorceries by 10%, regardless of whether they deal Magic or Dark damage, and regardless of whether or not the player meets the wielding requirements. As it stacks with other spell-boosting equipment such as Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring and Crown of Dusk, it is considered a staple off-hand tool for any dedicated Sorcerer build.
