- For the Dark Souls II variant, see Rusted Coin.
Rusted Coins are consumable items in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- An old rusted copper coin.
- Crushing the coin boosts item discovery.
- Those who have lost their fortunes rely upon this superstitious practice, hoping to retrieve what was once theirs and more.
Availability[]
- Undead Settlement
- Two can be found by jumping from the roof of a house near the second Evangelist to a wooden balcony located above a Crystal Lizard, near the Dilapidated Bridge.
- Firelink Shrine
- Sold by Unbreakable Patches for 200 souls each. If Patches dies, give his ashes to the Shrine Handmaid to increase her stock, allowing her to sell them at the same price.
- Dropped by Jailer Handmaids.
- The Dreg Heap (The Ringed City)
- Sold by the Stone-humped Hag for 200 souls each. If she dies, give her ashes to the Shrine Handmaid to increase her stock, allowing her to sell them at the same price.
Usage[]
Increases Item Discovery by 50 units for 60 seconds.
Notes[]
- Effect stacks with other items that boosts Item Discovery.
- Using this coin along with the Symbol of Avarice, the Covetous Gold Serpent Ring +3, and the Crystal Sage's Rapier will increase Item Discovery up to 315 units.
- Can be used on ladders.
- Copper does not rust, though it does oxidize, becoming green or bluish green. This is very likely what is covering most of the coin.
