The Rotten Ghru Curved Sword is a curved sword in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- A crude, half-rotten curved sword.
- Choice weapon of the blunt-horned Ghrus, descendants of the acolytes of Farron Keep.
- The rancid blade is drenched in rotten waste, making it acutely poisonous.

Slice into foes with a large spinning motion, and follow with strong attack for a spinning vertical-slash.

Characteristics[]
The Rotten Ghru Curved Sword, upon initial inspection, is a very unimpressive weapon, however it has many surprising features. Based on the "light curved sword" moveset of the Scimitar, the Rotten Ghru Curved Sword has a short reach but consumes little stamina with each swing, much like the Painting Guardian's Curved Sword. As well, its attacks inflict Poison build-up with each strike, making it useful for inflicting foes with the status effect. It can even be infused with a Poison Gem to further augment this effect.
However, the most surprising feature of this sword is that, when infused with a Sharp Gem, it is capable of dealing impressive amounts of damage. At very high levels of Dexterity, a Sharp Rotten Ghru Sword can compete with and even outmatch the damage of a Follower Sabre.

- When infused, the name of the weapon is shortened to "Rotten Ghru Sword" prefixed by the infusion type. Therefore, "Rotten Ghru Curved Sword" becomes "Sharp Rotten Ghru Sword," "Poison Rotten Ghru Sword," and so on.
