The Quakestone Hammer is a great hammer in Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel.
In-Game Description
- A Stonehammer wielded by the Millwood Knights, with a head of naturally-formed stone.
- The Knights of Millwood would fight hand-in-hand with the earth itself, and this weapon, among the oldest in Millwood, is symbolic of that relationship.
- Skill: Quake
Burrow hammer head into the ground with a great slam, and use strong attack to upheave earth, creating a shockwave that rumbles like a mighty warcry.
Availability[]
In the Snowy Mountain Pass area, before the final stretch leading to the basement of Ariandel Chapel. There is a fork that leads to the left, and eventually to a Millwood Knight wielding a Millwood Greatbow. The Quakestone Hammer is on a corpse behind him.
Characteristics[]
The Quakestone Hammer is a powerful weapon with a rather unique skill.
Statistically, it is quite average among great hammers, possessing a respectable attack rating and modest weight, allowing it to be wielded on any number of builds. One of its stronger features is its range, tying with the Dragon Tooth, Great Mace and Vordt's Great Hammer, but weighing the least of the four. As with most other great hammers, it scales primarily with Strength, requiring the wielder to have at least 27 Strength in order to wield it two-handed.
The most unique aspect of the Quakestone Hammer is its skill, Quake. Like other great hammers it grants persistent Hyper Armor while activated, but unlike other great hammer skills it can be used offensively, as well as to punish those unfamiliar with its follow-up attack.
