The Pyromancer's Parting Flame is a pyromancy flame in Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel.
In-Game Description
- The pyromancy flame of Livid Pyromancer Dunnel that attracts the echoes of the death.
- When Dunnel lost his hideous spouse, he gave his own pyromancy flame as an offering, which transformed into a parting flame. Not long after, Dunnel became a mad spirit, cursed to wander the lands.

Found on a corpse in the Painted World of Ariandel, in the tower where Livid Pyromancer Dunnel invades (Crossbreed Priscilla's boss arena). The path to the tower is hidden behind an illusory wall in the lower level of Ariandel Chapel basement.
Characteristics[]
The Pyromancer's Parting Flame has slightly inferior scaling compared to the standard Pyromancy Flame; however, it has a unique feature in that most offensive spells will be preluded by a variant of Combustion, inflicting 0.8 times the catalyst's Attack Rating as Fire damage to targets that are at very close range. This means that should an offensive spell be cast at melee range, the target will be hit by the flame prior to taking damage from the spell itself, increasing the total damage dealt. As such, the Pyromancer's Parting Flame is optimal for close-range pyromancies such as Black Flame. However, due to the inferior Spell Buff compared to the standard flame, it cannot deal as much damage with medium or long range pyromancies.
Spells cast with the Parting Flame also have 15% increased stamina cost, regardless of whether or not they utilize the aforementioned feature. Naturally, this does not affect Fire Surge due to the spell not having any stamina cost to begin with.
Its primary defining feature is its skill, Parting Flame, which allows for the replenishment of the player's Estus Flask by killing enemies, greatly increasing long-term survival, though its long cast time makes it far less effective when in the midst of combat.
Upgrades[]
Cornyx of the Great Swamp can upgrade the Pyromancer's Parting Flame up to +10. This requires a total of 12 of each standard titanite (Shards, Large Shards, and Chunks) as well as a single Slab. Fully upgrading the flame will also cost a total of 10,944 souls.
