The Pursuer's Ultra Greatsword is an ultra greatsword in Dark Souls II.
In-Game Description
- Ultra greatsword of the Pursuer.
Known as the mightiest of the straight swords, it demands great strength and dexterity of its wielder.
- The Pursuer hunts down those branded by the curse, as if each Undead Soul that he claims will atone one of his sins.
Availability[]
Obtaining the Pursuer's Ultra Greatsword requires the player to trade 1,500 souls and the Soul of the Pursuer with Straid of Olaphis.
Characteristics[]
With a moveset that covers broad horizontal attacks, high vertical swings and thrusts, the Pursuer's Ultra Greatsword is quite useful in several situations the player may encounter. However, the weight of 18 units, whilst not the heaviest Ultra Greatsword, means players who have low Vitality will find the sword difficult to use effectively with their build.
This greatsword also possesses very good scaling bonuses, particularly for players that have focused on Strength, meaning that the sword is able to inflict large amounts of damage when used in the right hands. In terms of base damage, however, it is outclassed by several other Ultra Greatswords, such as the Greatsword and the King's Ultra Greatsword.
Interestingly, this ultra greatsword has a higher counterattack potential than most other ultra greatswords.

Large vertical swing followed by a backswing that throws the sword behind the player, which can actually hit enemies behind the player. |
