Availability[]
Obtained by transposing the Soul of Pontiff Sulyvahn with Ludleth of Courland for 3,000 souls.
Characteristics[]
A true quality weapon, the Profaned Greatsword is a well-balanced ultra greatsword with a versatile moveset and devastating power attacks.
While it tends slightly towards Strength in its scaling, the Profaned Greatsword also scales very well with Dexterity, granting it formidable damage output on builds that focus on leveling physical stats. It is also one of the lightest weapons in its class, only outweighing the Astora Greatsword and Zweihander of the ultra greatswords that can be two-handed. It also has the third-highest base damage of the ultra greatswords, after the Black Knight Greatsword and the Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords, and on a full quality build is out-damaged only by the Black Knight Greatsword when two-handed.
The Profaned Greatsword has a very robust moveset, allowing the wielder to perform horizontal and vertical swings, along with various thrusting attacks as needed. Additionally, as it is imbued with the power of the Profaned Flame, fully charged strong attacks with this weapon will inflict additional Fire damage for that attack, making the strong attacks performed by this weapon unusually deadly. Its skill, Profaned Flame, can be used to give the weapon a longer-lived buff and inflict Fire damage with all attacks.
