The Profaned Coal is a key item in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- Coal used for weapon infusion.
- Remnants of the fire that burned down the Profaned Capital, preserved in an icy skull.
- Give to the blacksmith in the shrine to allow the use of gems for dark, blood, and hollow infusion.
Availability[]
Found in the Irithyll Dungeon, in the lower cell block that precedes the route to the Profaned Capital. It is inside the cell containing several Wretches, just opposite of Karla's cell.
Usage[]
Give the coal to Blacksmith Andre in Firelink Shrine to allow usage of the following gems for infusions:
- Dark Gem → Dark
- Blood Gem → Blood
- Hollow Gem → Hollow
