Poison Statue Clusters are enemies in Dark Souls II: Crown of the Sunken King.

A large lizard carrying a burden of poison-spitting statues. They move very slowly but the statues on their back will start shooting rapidly in multiple directions once they are approached.

The statues are indestructible, rendering the lizard itself the only vulnerable spot if one wishes to defeat this enemy.

The only way of dealing with these enemies is by targeting the underlying lizards below the cluster of statues. Weapons that deal Strike damage, arrows, or spells with an area-of-effect can be used for this end. If the player opts in shooting arrows, they should use manual aim to target the creature directly, as locking-on to it will target the statues instead.

It is advisable to take on these enemies at a distance and out of their attack range, as they can shoot rapidly if approached and each direct hit will stagger the player, leaving them open to subsequent shots and quickly filling up the Poison build-up meter.

  • The statues these creatures bear on their backs are the same poison-spitting statues found in The Gutter, albeit these are indestructible.
