Poison Spores is a skill in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- Expel noxious spores from the formless, parasitical things that inhabit the staff.
Description[]
The wielder raises the staff and emits a cloud of poison. The cloud will inflict Poison buildup on enemies that linger within it.
The Poison status effect inflicted by the cloud deals damage as follows, based on the maximum HP of the afflicted target:
Maximum HP | Damage Per Second | Maximum Total Damage |
---|---|---|
8-199 | 7 | 630 |
200-399 | 8 | 720 |
400-599 | 9 | 810 |
600-799 | 10 | 900 |
800-999 | 11 | 990 |
1000-1199 | 12 | 1080 |
1200-1399 | 13 | 1170 |
1400-1599 | 14 | 1260 |
1600-1799 | 15 | 1350 |
1800-1999 | 16 | 1440 |
2000-2199 | 17 | 1530 |
Usage[]
Single player[]
Assuming that the target is not immune to the Poison status effect, this skill can be useful in that it deals significantly more damage to the target, and becomes stronger the larger the health pool of the foe. This makes this skill very useful not only for defeating strong enemies, but also certain bosses.
Online gameplay[]
As enemy players will not voluntarily stand inside the poison cloud for an extended period of time, this skill is useful only if the surrounding terrain can be utilized to surprise them with the cloud or to restrict their movements and force them to stand within the cloud. As well, it should be noted that this poison can still be cured by consuming a standard Purple Moss Clump, so aggression must be maintained either to punish the consumption of moss or to dissuade its use at all.
Notes[]
- Because it uses the Steady Chant animation, the caster is susceptible to Instability damage while performing this skill.
