General information[edit | edit source]

Poison Mist causes the player to breathe a large cloud of Poison mist in the general area of the direction that it is cast. Any enemy, including hostile phantoms, caught in its area of effect will experience very rapid Poison build up. The cloud lingers for a substantial amount of time. Poison Mist does not scale with the magic adjust of the Pyromancy Flame in any way.

Its Poison buildup is about 100 units per second while within the cloud and deals 3.75 damage per second once inflicted.

Overview[edit | edit source]

In PvE, Poison Mist is a good starting move against particularly tough enemies if the player can get away with casting it without being hit. Poison Mist is largely wasted against enemies that do not have much HP to begin with, however.

In PvP, Poison Mist is good for denying enemies space, as well as visually hiding the player while he/she prepares another slow spell, i.e. Firestorm. However, it is impractical for actually dealing damage due to the slow effect of poison and the prevalence of Purple Moss Clumps.
