The Pale Shade Set is a light armor set in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- Attire worn by those who kill in the name of the Sable Church of Londor.
- The Pale Shades of the Sable Church are all undying Hollows, giving rise to much fear and contempt.
- Their fight is one of neither honor nor exaltation, yielding nothing but withered moans.
Availability[]
Found in Firelink Shrine after defeating the Londor Pale Shade in both of his invasions. The set can be found near Yoel of Londor's corpse.
The availability requires structured events to occur:
- Displease or kill Yuria of Londor at Firelink Shrine.
- Find and defeat the Londor Pale Shade in Farron Keep.
- Find and defeat the Londor Pale Shade in Irithyll of the Boreal Valley.
Characteristics[]
The Pale Shade Set is lightweight, but provides very little Poise. Its physical defenses are rather lackluster, however it has solid elemental defense and status effect resistance. It is particularly strong against Magic and Fire damage, and can resist Poison and Curse buildup quite well.

- It is possible to obtain this set and obtain the Lord of Hollows ending. Instead of killing Yuria, simply hit her three times with a low-damage weapon (or bare fists) so that she becomes angry and attacks the player; this should be done before defeating both the Crystal Sage and Abyss Watchers. At this point, the player may defeat the Londor Pale Shade at both invasion locations, and then go to the Statue of Velka to request absolution.
