The Painting Guardian Hood is head armor in Dark Souls. It is a part of the Painting Guardian Set.
In-Game Description
- Hood worn by the alabaster-clothed guardians of the paintings in Anor Londo. Offer substantial protection versus magic.
- They have guarded the Great Painting of Ariamis for ages, passing their duty down through generations, but the reason for doing so passed from all memory long ago.

Found in a chest within the Painted World of Ariamis, in a room with two Snow Rats.

This hood has no Poise and the lowest Physical defense ratings out of any headpiece; however, it has the second highest Magic defense of all headgear in the game, second only to the Big Hat, by far the highest magic defense per weight, and the highest Poison resist of any headpiece once upgraded, beating the Bloated Sorcerer Head by 0.1.
