In-Game Description

One of the secret treasures restored in Aldia. Increases spell uses, but at the cost of HP.

This modest-looking ring contains very powerful magic. To imagine what unspeakable deeds were performed to create such rings, one need only recall the cruel fate of the residents of Aldia.

Effects

The regular version increases spell uses by 10% and decreases HP by 20%. The +1 version increases spell uses by 20% and decreases HP by 35%. The +2 version increases spell uses by 30% and decreases HP by 50%.

Availability

Found in Sinner's Rise behind an illusory wall located on the right immediately after entering the flooded area.

The +1 variant is a gift from Carhillion of the Fold for having 30 Intelligence. Alternatively, Carhillion will drop the ring if killed before giving it to the player.

The +2 variant can be found in Aldia's Keep, near the several mirrors that spawn grey phantoms, after the bone dragon and Royal Sorcerer Navlaan.

Notes

• Since the increase in casts is rounded up, the +1 and +2 versions of the ring only grant additional casts to spells that have at least six and four uses respectively, while all versions of the ring will always add at least one cast to every spell. Combined with the significant health decrease of the higher level rings, players should carefully consider which variant is optimal for their situation, and should avoid the higher level rings when using spells with low amounts of casts.
  • Gear effects that increase number of casts are added together to calculate how many casts are given. As such, using the +0 ring with the Hexer's/Saint's Hood will have a similar effect to using higher grades of the ring, when considering low cast spells.
• The Southern Ritual Band can be used as a risk free alternative to the Northern Ritual Band, by attuning additional copies of the same spell in the slots it grants. This will result in a 100% increase in casts for that specific spell, which is particularly potent at low attunement.
  • As attuning multiple copies of the same spell increases the base level of casts for the spell, it will effectively double the effect of other cast boosting effects. For players who can afford to invest multiple ring slots for additional casts, this may make the higher level rings more attractive in spite of their significant drawbacks.
