Nico of Thorolund

Nico of Thorolund (ニコ) is a minor character in Dark Souls.

Description[]

Nico wears the Cleric Set and wields the Crescent Axe.

Plot[]

Nico, and his brother-in-arms Vince, are bodyguards of Reah of Thorolund. Unlike his comrade, Nico only grunts when spoken to. Nico and his group will appear in the Firelink Shrine after the player defeats the Capra Demon and stay there until the player either exhausts all of their dialogue with both Vince and Reah, or until the player defeats Pinwheel at the Catacombs.

The player next encounters Nico as a Hollow in the Tomb of the Giants. He, along with Vince, must be defeated in order to rescue Reah from her predicament.

Strategy[]

Nico's strategy is similar to that of Vince's however, Nico sometimes casts the Replenishment miracle and his axe causes some Magic damage, so a proper shield is necessary.

Notes[]

Up to 3 humanity can be obtained from him by using the Dark Hand on him before he goes Hollow.

Nico of Thorolund is the only character who wields the Crescent Axe; ominously, the only person who sells the crescent axe is Patches, a notorious cleric-killer and found close to Nico's hollow form.
