- For the covenant, see Mound-makers.
- Not to be confused with Vertebra Shackle.
The Mound-makers is a covenant item in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- A malformed vertebra found by the mad, with a queer symbol on its inside, proof of the shackles of the Gods. Equip to pledge oneself to the Mound-makers covenant.
- The mound-makers wish only to add to their mounds, becoming mad spirits whether summoned as co-operators or invaders.
- They are blithe to those around them, for in their minds, any kill might lead to another shackle.
Availability[]
Found in the Undead Settlement. Given by Holy Knight Hodrick after talking to him in the Pit of Hollows.
From the Undead Settlement bonfire, proceed through the level and in the big open area with praying Peasant Hollows and an Evangelist, turn right toward the stables. Instead of entering, break the crates on the right to uncover a hidden path guarded by numerous Thralls. Proceed through the area and drop to the other side, where a non-hostile Hollow Manservant with an empty cage paces about. Interact with the cage to be transported to the Pit of Hollows, where Hodrick awaits besides the Mound-makers' Sacrificial Altar.
Should the player have defeated the Curse-rotted Greatwood, this item is dropped by Hodrick when he is defeated alongside Sirris of the Sunless Realms during her questline.
Usage[]
Equip to pledge oneself to the Mound-makers covenant.
