Magic is a type of elemental damage in Dark Souls III.

Magic is one of four elemental damage types in Dark Souls III, inflicted by certain enemies, weapons, and sorceries. This element is generally effective against:
- Armored knights
This element is generally ineffective against:
- Enemies that use sorcery
Defense[]
To decrease magic damage received, it is necessary to raise magic resistance.
Stats[]
Leveling up will increase magic defense, with Intelligence increasing it the most.

- Blue Bug Pellet will provide a temporary increase in defense.

- Shields with the Simple or Crystal infusions will have increased magic absorption, at the cost of other absorptions and stability.
- Havel's Greatshield and Lothric Knight Greatshield have the highest magic absorption of all shields.
- Sacred Bloom Shield and Pontiff Knight Shield have the highest magic absorption of small and medium shields.
