The Loyce Shield is a medium shield in Dark Souls II: Crown of the Ivory King.
In-Game Description
- Shield of the Knights of Loyce.
- The Knights of Loyce were commanded to strike down each malformed terror that arose from Chaos, and they would not hesitate even if it were their own king.
Availability[]
- Trade the Soul of Zallen, the King's Pet along with 1,200 souls with Weaponsmith Ornifex.
Characteristics[]
Unexceptional as a shield in almost all regards, and even though the health regeneration is a welcome addition, at 2 HP every 3 seconds, it's not worth the weight and lack of performance. Still, it can be useful for extensive exploration sessions, while the player is occupied scouting the area and combat is not expected. It's better if equipped as a secondary shield for switching it quickly if necessary, if one can put up with the extra weight.

- HP regen effect can be stacked with other gradual health-restorative gear, like the Ring of Restoration and the Crown of the Ivory King.
