- For this weapon's unique skill, see Lothric War Banner (skill).
- Not to be confused with Small Lothric Banner.
The Lothric War Banner is a pike in Dark Souls III: The Ringed City.
In-Game Description
- The flagpole that once carried the Lothric crest, and guided the knights long ago.
- The tip of the pole is fitted with a sharply pointed decoration, letting it serve as a spear.
- Skill: Lothric War Banner
Wave the flagpole high in the air, like the days of yore, summoning an ethereal war banner that invigorates the attack of those who gather under it.
Availability[]
Found in The Dreg Heap.
From the first bonfire, head forward and keep dropping through the level until breaking through a large stained glass window. Go through the archway on the left, immediately turn right and drop to a small patch of ash below. Head forward and enter the archway seen in the distance. Turn left, head toward the two Lothric Knights in this area and cross over the small fallen tower beyond them.
Keep heading forward and downward and make a big drop after passing the first Murkman, landing on another patch of ash barely visible below.
Keep advancing through the linear path and drop to a corridor with two red-eyed Lothric Knights. Follow this corridor until reaching a small terrace with a corpse holding the banner.
Characteristics[]
As a pike, the Lothric War Banner does not have any major defining characteristics with regards to its moveset aside from having a spear's running attack instead of the normal charge of the pikes.
Statistically, it is quite strong for melee-focused builds, as it can reach A scaling in either Strength or Dexterity through Heavy or Sharp infusion respectively, or have B scaling in both through Refined infusion.
It is shorter than other pikes by a very small amount, still having very good reach. In exchange for this near-nonexistent drawback, it is much lighter than other weapons in its category, with the rest being at least 50% heavier.
Its main calling card comes from its ability to buff the user's as well as allies' attack power by 15% for 2 minutes. This buff is continually applied, meaning allies can receive the buff by approaching the wielder after it has already been cast. To this end, it is highly valuable as a support tool in co-op situations, whether as a phantom for a Host of Embers or as one of two or three invaders in a world affected by Dried Finger. Even without allies, it is still a useful skill due to its long duration.
It's skill can also be used to regenerate Focus Points: activate the skill and then perform a weak attack with a Handmaid's Dagger (while still keeping the banner out in the other hand). Doing this causes quick regeneration of focus points for a period of time. Regeneration can be further augmented by infusing the banner with a Simple Gem.
