Characteristics[]
The Lothric Knight Greatsword is a powerful and well-rounded ultra greatsword that is very strong on a myriad of builds.
Utilizing the horizontal ultra greatsword moveset, it scales primarily with Dexterity, making it most effective when infused with a Sharp Gem, however it can still perform strongly with any other infusion, moreso since it requires a hefty investment in Strength to wield. As well, it has innate Lightning damage, allowing it to deal damage through shields, and because it can still be buffed this Lightning damage can be further augmented by applying a Gold Pine Resin or Gold Pine Bundle.
This innate Lightning damage also makes the Lothric Knight Greatsword very useful for Faith-oriented builds as well. When infused with a Lightning Gem, the weapon gains extreme amounts of Lightning damage that scales well with the player's Faith, making it a very fearsome weapon indeed. And when infused with a Blessed Gem, both the physical damage and the Lightning damage will scale with the player's Faith, while simultaneously providing background health replenishment. And finally, on a build with high investment in physical stats as well as Faith, Lightning Blade can be cast on the weapon if it has been given a physical infusion, allowing it to utterly devastate any foes unlucky enough to be hit by it.
