The Light Crossbow is a crossbow in Dark Souls.
In-Game Description
- Standard crossbow issued to soldiers. While bows require both hands, a crossbow is held in one, but arming each bolt takes time.
Availability[]
- Found on a corpse in the Undead Burg, along with 16 Standard Bolts. It is located on the balcony of one of the buildings that can be seen as the player first enters the Undead Burg from Firelink Shrine. It can only be reached by jumping a gap from the adjacent building, most easily from the roof, that is first entered via a fog door.

- 2% drop from Balder Knight (Crossbow)

The Light Crossbow is the weakest and lightest crossbow in Dark Souls. However, it is likely the first crossbow the player will obtain.
Like all crossbows, you cannot aim down sights so the Binoculars can help with aiming. With the Binoculars, line the target up in the exact center of the screen. Change to Light Crossbow without moving the camera, then fire. Like all crossbows, Light Crossbow does not scale off any stats though upgrading increases base damage, if infusing the AR of elemental bolts is added to the elemental AR of the infusion, which can be beneficial. Use ammo types that elementally match the infusion when possible and factor in enemy resistances when choosing an infusion and/or ammo type.
