The Large Soul of an Unknown Traveler is a consumable soul item in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- A large soul found in the corpse of an unknown traveler.
- Use to acquire souls.
- Let the Fire Keeper transform this sovereignless soul into a source of strength, for to be Unkindled is to be a vessel for souls.

A total of nineteen can be obtained per playthrough.
- Road of Sacrifices
- On a corpse at the far end of the Crucifixion Woods, adjacent to the dry land where the Exile Watchdogs are fought. To the left of the stairs that lead to the ladder down to Farron Keep, a corpse is holding the item.
- Cathedral of the Deep
- On the path to the cathedral from the bonfire immediately after the Crystal Sage, there is a wooded area guarded by three crossbow-wielding Devout of the Deep and several Starved Hounds. On one of the upper cliffs of this area is a corpse propped against a wall holding the consumable.
- Two are found on corpses in the rooftop mausoleum, near the white birch tree guarded by the Giant Archer of the Undead Settlement.
- On the cathedral rooftops past the mausoleum, on a corpse propped up against a railing of a circular courtyard immediately past some walkways. The area is patrolled by numerous Thralls and Devout of the Deep, including two clinging to the outside of the railings close to the corpse that will climb over and ambush the player should they attempt to approach the corpse.
- Inside of the cathedral, near the second shortcut that leads back to the Cleansing Chapel bonfire, is a side area patrolled by a Cathedral Knight and two Thralls. Near them is a corpse holding the item.
- Under the second Giant Slave are several corpses holding items that are guarded by multiple Writhing Rotten Flesh. One of the corpses holds the soul item, while others hold the Drang Set and other treasures.
- Farron Keep
- In the deep water patrolled by a Great Crab near the door that opens after extinguishing the three flames, is a white birch tree guarded by the Giant Archer of the Undead Settlement. One of the corpses in this area holds the soul item.
- Catacombs of Carthus
- At the bottom of the large stairway that leads into the second half of the catacombs, past the reviving curved greatsword-wielding Skeleton Swordsman, there is a hallway with a pressure plate trap guarded by two sword and Carthus Shield-wielding Skeleton Swordsmen. Immediately to the left of the pressure plate trap is a corpse that the item can be looted from.
- Painted World of Ariandel
- Immediately after the Snowfield bonfire, a corpse in the distance holding the item can be seen. Approaching the corpse directly will cause a javelin-wielding Farron Follower to throw a projectile at the player.
- After falling into the snowfield proper from the collapsing snowbank, loop to the right to return to the bonfire via a side path guarded by Birch Women and Farron Followers. On the path up towards the top of the cliff, a corpse holding the soul item can be found.
- In the open area where the Gravetender Greatwolf is first fought, there is a corpse holding the consumable that is guarded by several Wolves.
- On the path towards the decrepit village patrolled by Millwood Knights, after the first encounter with the Gravetender Greatwolf, there is a corpse at the base of a tree on the cliff's edge. The item can be looted from this corpse.
- After the second encounter with the Gravetender Greatwolf, there is a collapsing snowbank that eventually leads to the Rope Bridge Cave. On the series of drop-downs there is a corpse on one of the ledges holding the item.
- Immediately after the ice slide that leads from the Rope Bridge Cave to the Corvian Settlement, hook a hard right and follow the wall towards the cliff ledge, where a hidden corpse holds the soul item.
- Found on a corpse in the riverbed leading into the Corvian Settlement. The first Corvian Knight is encountered immediately prior to this corpse.
- Hanging from a window above the Corvian Settlement bonfire is a corpse holding the consumable. It can be reached by turning left after the bridge over the riverbed and navigating a cliff pathway.
- After encountering the first rapier-wielding Corvian Knight and turning right to navigate the cliffside buildings, a Toxic-breathing Corvian is encountered right before a ladder leading to the village rooftops. To the left of the stairs leading up to this Corvian is a hidden corpse and another Corvian, with the corpse holding the item.
- At the top of the previous ladder, a bridge can be crossed that leads to the building where the Forlorn Corvian Settler was met. On the same rooftop area where the Crow Talons can be found is a corpse holding the item.
