- Not to be confused with Nameless Knight Set.
The Knight Set is a medium armor set in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- Armor of a lowly knight, fashioned from solid iron.
- This iron armor might be on the heftier side compared to others of its ilk, but as such offers great physical absorption in exchange for its imposing weight.
Do not think to wear it without the necessary Vitality.
Availability[]
- Starting equipment for the Knight class.
- Sold by Greirat of the Undead Settlement for a total of 10,000 souls once he returns from his first pillaging journey.
- Sold by the Shrine Handmaid once she has been given Greirat's Ashes.
Characteristics[]
The Knight Set is one of best medium armor sets in Dark Souls III when it comes to protection and efficiency.
When compared to most other medium armor sets, the Knight Set boasts much higher physical defenses overall. Its elemental resistances are moderate but respectable, and its defenses against status effect buildup are decent. As well, it provides a good amount of Poise at the cost of its weight, allowing it to reliably Hyper Armor through most attacks short of those from ultra weapons.
However, the Knight Set is on the heavier end of the medium armor sets, requiring higher Vitality in order to prevent mobility from being compromised if one wishes to wield heavier weapons. Furthermore, like the other metal armor sets, it is susceptible to both Strike attacks and Lightning damage, but conversely is highly resistant to Slash attacks and Fire.
Regardless, it remains as one of the best basic armor sets in the game due to its strong physical defenses and early availability.

Trivia[]
- The armor's design appears to be based on the garniture Italian armors forged in the 16th century, with the most notable resemblances being the engravings and intricate detail found on the helmet, pauldrons, knee braces, and gauntlets.
- Alongside the Firelink Set, the Knight Set shares the status of "poster" armor for Dark Souls III, due to its promotion as the "default" armor set worn by the Ashen One in gameplay video footage and trailers.
