Iron Flesh is a pyromancy in Dark Souls II.
In-Game Description
- A pyromancy that internalizes the power of flame.
- Turns the body into iron, increasing defense and resistance.
- As one might guess, the rock-solid flesh enabled by this spell dramatically slows movement. Guaranteed to cause trouble if used at an inopportune moment.
Availability[]
Purchased from Rosabeth of Melfia for 3500 souls.
Effect[]
Casting Iron Flesh buffs the player for 25 seconds, increasing physical defense and poise by 100 and all elemental defences and status resistances by 200, at the cost of adding 65 weight to their equipment load.
Notes[]
Since this spell gives a flat addition to weight, unlike the other games where it forces a Heavy Load status on the player, it is possible to cast it and still be able to move and roll normally with significant investment in Vitality and equipment load boosters such as the Third Dragon Ring and Royal Soldier's Ring.
If using this spell in this way, equipment that increases the length of spell effects such as the Northwarder Set and the Lingering Dragoncrest Ring are strong additions.
Attunement milestones[]
Like all other spells, the amount of casts per slot increases upon reaching certain Attunement milestones:
| Attunement Level | Amount of Casts |
|---|---|
| 10 | 2 |
| 43 | 3 |
| 94 | 4 |
Trivia[]
The equipment load increase was lowered from 100 to 65 with Calibration 1.08 on July 18, 2014.
