Homeward Bones are consumable items in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- Bone fragment reduced to white ash.
Return to the last bonfire used for resting, or to the shrine bonfire.
- Bonfires are sustained by the bones of the Undead. In rare cases, their previous owner's strong urge to seek bonfires enchants their bones with a homeward instinct.
Availability[]
- Cemetery of Ash
- One is found near the cliffside to the right, past the Iudex Gundyr bonfire.
- One is found by taking the path to the right before entering the shrine, on a corpse lying on a tombstone guarded by a Starved Hound.
- Firelink Shrine
- Sold by the Shrine Handmaid for 500 souls each.
- Three are found on the shrine's rooftop.
- Undead Settlement
- One is given to you by Holy Knight Hodrick when you meet him for the first time in the Pit of Hollows.
- Painted World of Ariandel
- At the edge of the cliff past the first encounter with the giant wolf, in the ruins before the tower with Millwood Knights.
Uses[]
Using a Homeward Bone will present the player with the option of teleporting to either Firelink Shrine or to the last bonfire they rested at.

- One can be traded with Pickle Pee in exchange for the Iron Bracelets (only once per playthrough).
