Hollow Manservants (下男亡者 Genanmōja, Hollow Manservant), also known as Giant Hollow Workers, are enemies in Dark Souls III.
Description[]
Large Hollows with either a cage or a block of wood strapped to their backs. These enemies wield rusty saws or clay pots in combat.
Locations[]
Strategy[]
Hollow Manservants are surprisingly fast despite their size and attack with a series of rapid combos that can be fatal if cornered. The saw variant will use a lunging charge at a distance and can perform a frenzy of swipes that inflicts bleed and will quickly drain stamina if blocked, so it is recommended to evade them. The variant with a pot will use it as a projectile at a distance, this will destroy the weapon and it will revert to a saw variant.

Notes[]
- The saw attacks can be parried and the wielder riposted, but not backstabbed.
- A non-hostile manservant with a cage on his back can be found in an area above the bridge leading to the Cliff Underside bonfire. Interacting with the cage will allow the player access the Pit of Hollows, where Holy Knight Hodrick resides and can induct them into the Mound-makers covenant.
- The player can encounter the Cage Madman, a non-hostile Cage Spider sitting on an outcropping nearby that provides a hint about this manservant.
- In the game's files, there was supposed to be a manservant set, but it was never released in the final game.
