- For the Dark Souls variant, see Hawk Ring.
- For the Dark Souls II variant, see Hawk Ring (Dark Souls II).
The Hawk Ring is a ring in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- Ring associated with Hawkeye Gough, one of the Four Knights of Gwyn, the First Lord.
- Extends the range of arrows.
- In his later years, the giant Gough was blinded, but this did not prevent him from striking down a calamitous dragon with his Greatbow.
Availability
- Dropped by the giant archer at the top of the highest tower in the Undead Settlement.
- Alternatively, if the player collects all Young White Branches found in the Undead Settlement, the Cathedral of the Deep and the Farron Keep, the giant will die and the ring can then be looted from his body at the top of the aforementioned tower.
Effect
The Hawk Ring greatly extends the range of arrows, reducing both damage drop-off and arc on long distance shots.
The ring also reduces damage drop-off of Kukris and Throwing Knives that are thrown beyond the normal lock-on range. Additionally, it dramatically changes the arc of items like Firebombs and Lightning Urns, but not items like Undead Hunter Charms or Alluring Skulls, when thrown without locking on an enemy.[1]
