For the Dark Souls II equivalent, see Royal Soldier's Ring.
For the Dark Souls III variant, see Havel's Ring (Dark Souls III).

Havel's Ring is a ring in Dark Souls.

In-Game Description

This ring was named after Havel the Rock, Lord Gwyn's old battlefield compatriot.
Havel's men wore the ring to express faith in their leader and to carry a heavier load.

Availability[]

Havel the Rock drops this ring when killed. He can either be accessed through a door in the latter half of the Undead Burg through use of the Master Key, or accessed through a door just prior to the Hydra in the Darkroot Basin.

Effects[]

Raises the player's maximum equipment burden by 50%.

Overview[]

Havel's Ring is one of the first rings accessible to the player assuming the Master Key was chosen as the starting gift. It is a useful ring, allowing many classes to upgrade from slow roll to mid roll or better and giving players a wider range of equipment options without sacrificing mobility. Later, the player may want to invest in Endurance to free up their ring slot, although certain players may require both the ring and high endurance if they seek out the heavier weapons and armor. Prior to patch 1.06 Havel's ring was inferior in many ways to the Dark Wood Grain Ring, but the two rings can be combined to use most of the game's equipment with ease.
