The Havel's Greatshield is a greatshield in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- A tremendously solid and heavy greatshield, cut straight from a great slab of stone.
- Said to be a relic of the legendary Havel the Rock, along with the Dragon Tooth. The shield is imbued with a special power reminiscent of Havel himself.
- Skill: Stone Flesh
Raise the shield in silent prayer, turning the user's body into a solid mass of stone.
Availability[]
- Dropped by Havel the Rock in Archdragon Peak. Accessed by heading down the stairs from the Great Belfry bonfire, moving across the courtyard and up another set of stairs. There will be a ladder on the left side, ascend it and Havel can be found standing before a dead wyvern.
- Alternatively, the Man Serpent Summoners have a small chance of summoning Havel. The first time he is defeated, he will drop the greatshield along with the Dragon Tooth.
Characteristics[]
The final word on defensive equipment, Havel's Greatshield returns as one of the strongest greatshields available in the game.
Boasting extreme elemental defense and stability, there is almost no offense that Havel's Greatshield cannot weather, being able to virtually ignore any sustained barrage while taking little to no chip damage from any elemental attack and losing very little stamina per attack. However, this comes at the cost of being the heaviest greatshield in the game, requiring heavy investment in Vitality, as well as requiring the wielder to hit the first soft cap for Strength.
Unlike other greatshields which typically boast the Shield Bash skill, Havel's Greatshield has a unique skill in Stone Flesh, which grants the wielder an Iron Flesh-like defensive buff, significantly boosting their defensive power for any attacks that are not blocked by the shield.
