The Hard Leather Set, also known as the Warrior Set, is a starting armor set in Dark Souls.

Availability

• Starting set for the Warrior class.
• On a corpse in the Gaping Dragon boss area in the Depths.

Characteristics

The Hard Leather Set is heavier than most light armor sets; in exchange, it boasts higher damage resistances in general. The Hard Leather Set is unique for having a single piece of armor (the helmet) providing Poise; the rest of the set does not provide poise. Despite this higher defense and superb helmet, the Wanderer Set is a superior in very nearly all regards, with the same physical defense, it has better poison resistance, a lower weight rating and far better elemental resistance; this excludes the helmet.
