Gundyr's Halberd is a soul-transposed halberd in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- Halberd of Gundyr the Champion, received when he was charged with his duty.
- This old cast-iron halberd has the power to break poise, and is said to never crumble, seeming to suggest that Gundyr was fated to eternal service from the beginning.
- Skill: Champion's Charge
Hold spear at waist and charge at foe, and use momentum to transition into sweeping strong attack.
Availability
Obtained by transposing the Soul of Champion Gundyr with Ludleth of Courland.
Characteristics
As a halberd utilising the glaive moveset, Gundyr's Halberd is able to pull off attacks that has excellent coverage and reach while having the benefit of hyper armour on its side. As a soul-transposed weapon weapon, it cannot be buffed nor infused, making it unsuitable for a myriad of builds.
Its weapon art, Champion's Charge, is a unique version of the Charge versions that most other halberds and uniquely, the Astora Greatsword, uses. Instead of using a strong attack to extend the charges' length, it transitions into sweeping strong attack that deals high damage.

Trivia
- Gundyr's Halberd, like the Glaive, is technically a bardiche, which is a type of polearm characterized by a large singular blade similar to an axe or cleaver mounted to the pole at two points, usually about halfway up the blade and at the bottom of the blade.
