Great Heal Excerpt is a miracle in Dark Souls II.

- A highly advanced miracle. An excerpt from the Great Heal tome. Greatly restores HP. Its effect is the same as Great Heal, but has limited uses.
- The erudite Great Heal tome requires extensive training to properly interpret, making it accessible to only a select few.

General information[]
When cast, Great Heal Excerpt will heal the player for a large amount of health.
Effectively being a lighter version of Great Heal, it requires far less Faith to cast, and doesn't force the player to kneel while doing so, although they are still slowed to a walk. However, it has fewer casts and doesn't heal friendly players during co-op. The Casting Speed is the same for both Miracles.
Although Great Heal Excerpt can be a great boon in a pinch, it is recommended to replace it with Great Heal once it becomes available, as the ability to move while casting will rarely make up for the reduction in casts, or the inability to heal other players. It may find some use in PvP as the standing animation can be mistaken for other spells like Heavenly Thunder.
