Great Farron Dart is a sorcery in Dark Souls III.
In-Game Description
- Sorcery which improves upon Farron Dart. Fires a more powerful soul dart.
- Entrusted to the leader of the Legion's acolytes, and apparently a sorcery of his daughter, Heysel, that was refined by a Crystal Sage.
Availability[]
Sold by Orbeck of Vinheim for 2,000 souls once he has been given the Sage's Scroll.
Effect[]
An upscaled version of Farron Dart. Fires a powerful soul dart at the target, dealing 0.59 times the catalyst's Spell Buff as Magic damage. Like Farron Dart, it cannot stagger enemies hit by the projectiles but casts extremely quickly and costs little FP, and like Farron Dart it has special rolling and running attacks which make it extremely flexible.
The spell's larger damage multiplier compared to Farron Dart allows it to break through low values of Magic Defense more easily (such as against players that do not level Intelligence). As a result, it inflicts damage that increases roughly in tandem with its FP cost, meaning that it can still deal respectable damage without being as inefficient as the multiplier difference would suggest.
