The Giant Shield (巨人の盾) is a greatshield in Dark Souls.
In-Game Description
- Greatshield made of bronze and marcasite. Used by the giant sentinels of Anor Londo.
- Marcasite, or white iron, is effective against non-physical damage, but as the shield is designed for the giant sentineles, its weight is unbearable.
Availability[]
The Giant Shield can be purchased from the Giant Blacksmith for 10,000 souls. It is also a rare drop from Sentinels and Royal Sentinels.
Characteristics[]
The Giant Shield has heavy deflection and a standard bash attack. While it has high and well-rounded resistances to all elements, it has low stability for its weight.
Overall, the Giant Shield is more of the "Jack of All Trades" of the Greatshields: It'll work in all situations, but there will be another shield that gets the job done better.
Its crystal durability is 30.
