Firebombs are offensive items in Dark Souls. They are used for ranged attacks, and inflict fire damage.
In-Game Description
- Bisque urn filled with black powder. Explodes, inflicting fire damage.
- Relatively powerful ranged weapon, especially in situations calling for fire damage. A very precious item for low levels.
- Many warriors use these to augment their strategic repertoire.
Availability[]
- Hollow Warrior (Firebomber variety) - drop
- Firelink Shrine x6 - corpse
- Sold by Undead Male Merchant in Undead Burg for 50 souls each.
General information[]
When used, the player throws the firebomb in the direction they are facing or at the enemy targeted, which has a fire attack of 180. The throw distance is very long, but is hindered by the lack of precision at a distance due to the lack of a lock-on option at a distance. Black Firebombs are more powerful versions of firebombs.
Firebombs are one of only a handful of ranged attacks that don't suffer from damage drop-off from long-range throws. This, and the fact that they only explode on contact, makes them very useful for taking out enemies from long range. However, aiming may prove problematic.
Notes[]
The fire damage done by the item makes them a very good choice to use while going through the Undead Burg, Undead Parish and the Depths, as many monsters in these areas have a weakness to fire-based attacks. However, Firebombs quickly become obsolete as weapons and spells are upgraded.
