For the Dark Souls variant, see Fire Tempest.

Fire Tempest is a pyromancy in Dark Souls II.

In-Game Description

An ancient, primal pyromancy.
Giant pillars of flame erupt near the caster.
The fire tempest incinerates all life.
What menace was so great as to make such a fearsome spell necessary?

  • Found in an iron chest in the Shrine of Amana. Past the Crumbled Ruins bonfire, the chest is found a fair distance out in the water behind the ruined house, close to some cursed urns. The chest is partially submerged by water and may be hard to spot. The use of a torch can make it easier to spot the chest, as well as making the shallow areas of the water more visible.
  • Rare drop from the Guardian Dragons in Dragon Aerie.

General information[]

Like its variant from Dark Souls, Fire Tempest is a nearly identical, but stronger version of Firestorm; casting it causes pillars of flame to erupt in a random pattern around the player. Unlike its Dark Souls counterpart, however, it suffers from the disadvantage of having fewer casts than Firestorm.
